What do we do then?
Running away really isn't an option for most of us. People depend on us. People expect us to be certain places and do what we've told them we'd do. If we don't show up we probably will cause unneeded worry and panic.
So what do we do?
That depends on who we are.
Some need to get to a really quiet place and let God minister to them. He will, you know. He doesn't condemn these kinds of times when we can't hold it together anymore. He created us exactly as we are. In fact, I'm pretty sure He made us with limits so we would go to Him and learn to depend on Him for everything.
But even when we believe we are doing this we are still going to have times we need to get away. We need to be able to get away without disrupting what needs to be done (and there may be times that people's worlds need to be disrupted -- God will lead you). There's a lot of things we can put off in our lives so we can rest on Jesus' chest as John the Disciple used to (John 13:23).
Do you need to do that today? If not, just remember for when one of these times come. We all have them. We all have times where we feel like we are breaking apart. There's only so much a person can take in this world before he or she needs a break.
